| Sub-Domains
A sub-domain is basically a URL that points to a sub directory within your public_html folder. An example of a sub domain is http://support.iroost.com/, the sub-domain part being the "support" portion of the URL.
Add-on Domain
An add-on domain is basically the ability to host distinct web sites from the same space. Add-on domains will create a sub directory within your public_html, where it will pull the data from.
For example:
Main domain: http://www.abccompany.com, pulls data from your public_html folder. Add-on domain: http://www.xyzcompany.com, pulls the data from your sub directory folder called xyzcompany inside your public_html folder.
Each add-on domain is distinct, and has no relation to your other domains to your visitors. It appears as it's hosted on it's own account.
Parked Domain
A parked domain is basically the ability to park/point different domains to your main domain.
For example:
Main domain: http://www.abccompany.com Parked domain: http://www.xyccompany.com & http://www.acmecompany.com load the pages of http://www.abccompany.com
In order for your add-on and parked domains to work, you are required to have your name servers point to DNS3.IROOST.COM & DNS4.IROOST.COM. This can be done by your domain registrar.
